Brilliant family campsite – as well as amazing views with good choice of pitch, there’s a central farmyard area to congregate. Let your children have hay fights in the barn or play with the (very tolerant) guinea pigs while you sip cider. Lots of great food for sale including wood fired pizzas in case you feel like a night off the campfire. Compost loos (some fields have flushables) and basic faclities not to everyone’s taste but if you don’t mind going feral for a few days it’s fab. The five of us had a great time last year. Gets booked up very quickly and this year coincides with the Olympic Sailing in the bay below. Best view from the Beach Field.
Some of our vintage camping products and retro-style pieces were featured in a photoshoot for Pretty Nostalgic vintage lifestyle magazine (May/June 2012) in an article about campinmygarden.com, a new website which advertises private gardens as micro -campsites.
